Education Minister opens Law Seminar at SRM University Delhi-NCR, Sonepat Haryana The Education Minister of Haryana, Shri. Ram Vilas Sharma, inaugurated a two-days National Seminar on “Concept of Bharat in the Eyes of Constitution Makers” at SRM University Haryana, Sonepat on Wednesday, where hundreds of students, faculty and scholars participated with great zeal and enthusiasm. This seminar is organized by the Faculty of Law, SRM University in association with the Jammu and Kashmir Study Centre, New Delhi. After the invocation and lamp-lighting, Prof. Ashok Kantroo, Dean of Law, welcomed the august audience. Prof. S. Rajarajan, Vice-Chancellor, SRM University presided over the function. Mr. Ashutosh Bhatnagar, who enlightened the participants on the Constitution of India and its importance, articulated that the students of law are to be attuned and focused on making our constitution for the betterment of every citizen of India.

The Minister, who was elated for being invited for the second time within a short period, exhorted and illuminated the importance of the law in every society, explicated on making our country, and, particularly Haryana in to a land for law-abiding citizens. Exploring the possibilities of the Constitutional benefits, he advocated that the preamble of our Constitution always stand for safeguarding the people, and any government is meant for fulfilling its duties propagated in the Constitution. Eulogizing the fact that SRM University, Haryana is interested in the educational process on engineering, technology, science, humanities and social sciences, the minister appreciated the efforts of the University for its imminent and exhilarating foundations on education.

Senthil Kumar, Director of Admissions. He also gave away the University cash award of rupees five thousand to Akhilesh Kumar, a second year law student, who accomplished through his articles on the history of the Constitution of India. Prof. Jawaharlal Kaul, Prof. K.L. Bhatia and other legal luminaries participated in the seminar. The inaugural ceremony ended with a vote of thanks proposed by Ms. Deepshika, Assistant Professor of Law, SRM University.
