A specialized centre of Drug Designing Discovery and Development (C4D) is one of the state of art facility, established at SRMUH for Drug discovery and drug repurposing research. Objective of C4D is to initiate drug discovery projects focusing on neglected infectious diseases with national and international collaborations. Centre has provided interdisciplinary insights into biological research for the development of healthcare technologies. The centre has the infrastructural facilities for drug discovery, developing diagnostic kits and tackling antimicrobial resistance. Surveillance of antimicrobial resistance to monitor the emergence of multi-drug resistance in pathogens causing serious infection is one of the major areas.

About the Conference

The conference will focus on antimicrobial resistance (AMR), including multi & extensive drug resistant pathogens, hospital acquired infections, host-pathogen interactions, infection and immunity, microbial pathogenesis, anti-microbial stewardship, challenges and opportunities in drug discovery & vaccine development against infectious diseases with special focus on TB, malaria, kala-azar, dengue, Covid-19, etc. The conference will pave the path to networking amongst the scientists for future collaborations to tackle the menace of AMR.
