Dr. Manish Bhalla
Dr. Manish Bhalla, a recipient of CSIR SRF & RA in the area of Chemistry, has done his Ph.D. from Lucknow University is the Registrar of the University. He worked as Assistant Director at All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Government of India involved in formulation, planning and implementing various schemes on Technical Education in the country. He has rich experience of heading academic institutions and published several peer-reviewed journal papers to his credit. His post-doctoral research was on Chemistry/bio-chemistry combined with Pharmacology.
He is also a life member of several professional bodies and also visited developed nations like Japan, Canada, Neitherlands under various fellowships. With his diverse experience of administration, management and research, his contributions have been of immense value in enriching the University’s administrative and research activities.

Dr. G.J. Samathanam, Former Advisor & Head, Technology Development & Transfer Division of DST, Govt. of India joined this University on 02.12.2013. Dr. Samathanam, a recipient of ICAR JRF & SRF for M.Sc. & Ph.D. at Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), New Delhi. In his career in the Central Government, he has handled several important schemes and programmes on public-private-partnership, industry-institutional collaborative R&D, Technology Development, Demonstration & Transfer, IPR, MIS, State S&T Councils etc.
He has contributed substantially for publishing several national reports like R&D Statistics, R&D in Industry, S&T databook, Directory of R&D Institutions & other science resources studies/S&T indicators etc. With his vast expertise on national & international understanding of S&T and R&D system and Science Management, he has been playing an important role in facilitating the faculty and the student community of this University on developing R&D projects in frontier areas of S&T with industrial & international collaborations, student science clubs, convenor of University Research Council, IPR knowledge dissemination, nurturing innovation & fostering scientific temper.
Prof. C. Natarajan

Prof. C. Natarajan is the Former Principal of Presidency College, Chennai and also Joint Director in the Directorate of Collegiate Education, Government of Tamilnadu. He has done his B.Com and M.Com from Annamalai University during 1968 and 1970 respectively. His M.Phil is from Bharathidasan University in 1987. He has also done his B.Ed. from Annamalai University in 1995. He has in all 34 years of experience in Academics and Administration. His area of specialization is Financial Accounting and Marketing Management. He joined SRM University, Haryana on 28.10.2013.
Mr. Senthil Kumar
Director - Admissions & Outreach (SRM Group of Institutions - North India)
Prior to the present assignment, he was Director – Admissions & Outreach at Galgotias University, Greater Noida, and Deputy Director – Admissions at O.P Jindal Global University. Mr. Kumar has a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from St. Joseph’s College, Tiruchirappalli and an MCA degree from Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli. Prior to joining Jindal Global University, Mr. Kumar was working with Rainmaker, New Delhi, as National Marketing Manager where he was primarily responsible for the marketing, sales and growth strategy of educational products and services, a planning and Implementation architect of the All India Bar Examination (AIBE) in India.
He also worked with LST/Career Launcher India Ltd. which is among South Asia’s leading edu–corporates, as National Manager –Sales and Marketing for www.lawentrance.com, India’s no.1 website for law aspirants and information about law schools. He has an overall experience of 15 years in Consulting, Legal Education, Admissions, Outreach, Assessment and Knowledge services for the Legal Industry.
Dr. D.K. Pandey

Dr. D.K. Pandey, Former Director, Department of Science and Technology (DST), Govt. of India is presently Director (Innovation, Excellence, Extension & Extramural Project) of this University. He had his M.Sc. & Ph.D. from Kumaon University, Uttarakhand. His area of specialization is on Plant Pathology. He started his career as a Senior Research Fellow at IARI, New Delhi and later served in various capacities in organisations such as Central Insecticide Laboratory, Faridabad, Soil & Water Conservation Division, of Ministry of Agriculture. Dr. Pandey joined DST in 1989 and has contributed substantially in communicating Science & Technology in the Country. He has been associated as National Programme Coordinator of National Children’s Science Congress (NCSC), National Teachers’ Science Congress (NTSC) & Promotion of Innovation Eco system in the country through Initiative for Research & Innovation in Science (IRIS), India Innovation Initiative (i3) & Regional Innovation Science Hubs for Innovators (RISHI) and the National Science Day celebrations. Dr. Pandey has contributed a lot in bringing out science teaching/learning modules for science teachers which are in huge demand in the country & else where also.
Dr. Pandey has been involved in mega Science & Technology awareness campaign projects. He has participated in many International Programmes such as Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) at IDPM, University of Manchester; International Exhibition for Young Inventors at Tokyo & Kaulalampur; Science Summit at Manila; ASEAN working group at Thailand; Asia Education Academy at Korea; Educator Academy in International Science & Engineering Fair (ISEF) at Arizona, San Jose & Los Angeles, USA. He has also been involved in Radio talks, and technical advisor on production of Television Serials telecast through Doordarshan.
Dr. V. Samuel Raj
Director Centre for Drug Design Discovery and Development (C4D)
Dr. V. Samuel Raj has joined as the Professor of Microbiology and Biotechnology and Director of the Centre for Drug Design Discovery & Development (C4D) at SRM University Haryana on November 1, 2014. He has joined SRM University Haryana with 10 years R&D experience from 2 major pharma giants Ranbaxy and Daiichi Sankyo and 15 years international and national research experience. He has special interest on neglected diseases (TB, Leishmaniasis, Malaria and Dengue) and initiated the open innovation, international collaboration between the academics and industries to discover new drugs against infectious diseases with special focus on neglected diseases.
Dr. Samuel has worked as the Assistant Director of Microbiology, Daiichi Sankyo India Pharma Private Limited and led major drug discovery projects against infectious diseases. He has the experience as Group Leader of Microbiology at Ranbaxy Research Laboratories and led many drug discovery projects against infectious diseases. Before joining Ranbaxy, he worked as Visiting Scientist (Faculty) in the Department of Microbiology, School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, USA.
He has done PhD (Microbiology) from the Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University (BHU) in 1993. He did post-doctoral research at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi; Academia Sincia, Taipei, Taiwan; Chiba University, Chiba, Japan and Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia, USA. He has been invited as a prominent scientific leader at various scientific meetings, workshops and symposium in UK, USA, Switzerland, Italy, Japan, China, India and so forth. Two international patents as antibacterial agents are registered in his name and he has many research publications in high impact international journals. One of the publications in the journal Emerging Infectious Diseases (2007) made a change in the practice of prophylaxis against meningitis during epidemics.
He has won many awards and fellowships in USA, Japan, Switzerland, UK, Taiwan and India including the prestigious Tokyo Biochemical Research Foundation (TBRF) award and Commonwealth Fellowship. He was recognized as the distinguished alumni of Microbiology in 50 years and invited to deliver the distinguished lecture series during the Golden Jubilee Celebration of Institute of Medical Sciences, BHU, Varanasi. He is the recipient of Karmaveer Chakra and REX Global Fellowship in 2012 as a recognition of his contribution in the field of Medical Sciences. He has been selected as one of the leader in the scientific field and invited to attend the “Next Generation Leaders Meet” organized by Stein am Rhein Symposium (STARS ’09), Switzerland and awarded as STARS Fellow by STARS organization, Switzerland.
