Dr. Vidhu Shekhar Tiwari

Dr. Vidhu S. Tiwari, received his B.Sc. degree from Banaras Hindu University (BHU) in 2000 and M.Sc. (Physics) from IIT-Delhi in 2002. He obtained M.S. degree in 2005 and Ph.D. degree (Engineering Physics) in 2008 from Mississippi State University (MSU), USA. His doctoral research focused on developing Laser based fiber optical Raman sensor for monitoring the quality of cryogenic fuels for NASA application. As a graduate research assistant (GRA), Dr. Tiwari taught several undergraduate labs at Department of Physics, MSU. Later, he worked as a post-doctoral research fellow at School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, University of Ottawa, Canada from 2008 to 2012.
Dr. Tiwari received best poster award in IEEE Conference on Sensors, Christ Church, New Zealand in the year 2009. His topics of research interests are Raman and surface enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) spectroscopy, photonic crystal fibers, multivariate analysis and optical bio-sensors.
