The festival committee: Various festivals are celebrated in the campus. Festivals have a great significance in terms of celebrations, forgetting the differences, observances like fasting, prayers, pujas, spiritual growth, etc.
Most festivals have a story and significance behind them, it involves ethnic flavor and lots of fun. SRM is a mini India, with students from all over the country. It is a place to learn the diversity of multi-cultures and rituals that magnificent country traditionally has been following:
The festival committee chooses a team to carry forward and share the traditional significance of the festival. All students participate in the traditional & cultural activities.
The Enviro club is formed with the objective of creating awareness on each one of us is responsible to preserve our planet… And an undertaking… I will do my bit.
The members create awareness through posters, use less electricity, reduce wastage of water, and say “no to plastic”, workshops-waste to wealth, vermicomposting, recycling paper, initiatives like planting trees, having eco-friendly attitudes.
Quizzing is fun. Participating in it challenges our awareness and knowledge. There is so much more to know. Quizzing is a passion for many. Watch out for the monthly quiz competition and win prizes.
Adventure club aims to promote adventure and fun among the students. Trekking, turtle walks, rock climbing is planned for the year. Interested students can join the club and participate in these activities.
News Letter: Spectrum and Reflection
These newsletters help us connect within and to the outside world. Spectrum is a monthly magazine that shares all happenings in the SRM world. Reflection is online newsletter which is again coordinated by the student team in association with the papyrus club. New teams are formed every year. If you have a good language with creativity, We welcome you to join the team.
Social Service Club
The College has 4 units of NSS. These clubs works on other unique initiatives of associating with some orphanage, school and help them on a continuous basis. Besides, blood donation camp, the students are also involved in helping cancer patients, sharing resources with have notes.
