National Symposium on The role of Corporate Governance and Leadership in Globalised World

SRM University is one of the top ranking Universities in India. SRM University Haryana has been established under Haryana Private Universities Act of 2006 as amended by Act 8 of 2013 and empowered to award degrees as specified under Section 22 of the UGC Act through its main campus in regular mode with approval of Statutory Bodies/ Councils, this University has the approval of affiliation of Department of law by Bar Council of India too wherever is required. Department of Scientific Industrial Research, Government of India has recognised this University as a Scientific and Industrial Research. The Campus is situated in Rajiv Gandhi Education City at Sonepat, with the goal of generating human resources with high skill and quality in order to meet the demands of the job market and placement including research orientation & industrial & international collaboration at background. Very recently the University has been inducted as one of the members of Association of Indian Universities.

National Symposium on “The role of Corporate Governance and Leadership in Globalised World” was inaugurated by Dr. T.R. Paari Vendhar, Hon’ble Founder Chancellor, SRM University. Prof. Theodore Roosevelt Malloch Jr. Said Business School, University of Oxford, UK & CEO, Roosevelt Group of USA has delivered the key note address. Invited eminent speakers like Mr. John Samuel, Former Special Secretary, Department of Posts, Govt. of India and many other experts in the field of management also spoke. It was attended by several Universities faculty, industry managers, registered participants, students of the University, Dignitaries from NCR region & media persons. The function was presided over by Prof. S. Rajarajan, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor. Technical Sessions were organised soon after the inaugural function was over.

The conference has highlighted on the essence of the success of a nation & of an organisation which usually depends on its leadership & good governance practices. Good leadership is required for effective performance of any organisation, therefore, good corporate governance is equated with good leadership.

At the end of the function Dr. Samuel Raj, Director C4D, delivered the vote of thanks.
