Dr. Ajit Kumar

Dr. Ajit Kumar did his M.Sc. in Chemistry with specialization in Organic Chemistry in 1998 from LNMU, Darbhanga, Bihar. He has been awarded Ph.D. degree on the topic Studies on Biochemical Action of Oxygen Containing Heterocyclic Polyphenols and their Acetates on Drug Metabolism from Faculty of Medical Sciences, University of Delhi, Delhi in February 2006. His research area is “Post-translational Modifications of Proteins and related Biological Implications and A Development of New Candidate Drug”.
He has worked as a postdoctoral fellow at University of Rome, La Sapienza Italy. He has been credited author/co-authorship of thirty two papers in peer reviewed International Journals. He has been actively participated in a number of International Conferences. He has been awarded several research fellowships such as Project Fellow in project funded by Danish International Development Agency (DANIDA, Denmark), SRF from Nucleic Acid Centre, University of Southern Denmark, SRF (CSIR, New Delhi), RA (CSIR, New Delhi), and Young Scientist-Fast Track Scheme from SERB-DST etc. Currently, three students are pursuing their Ph.D. under his supervision.
He also got appreciation letter from Elsevier Science, Netherlands for reviewing skills. Dr. Ajit also awarded travel grant from International Society for the Study of Xenobiotics (ISSX) for attending the conference on Drug Metabolism at Istanbul, Turkey.
