Introduction
The Faculty of Engineering and Technology, SRM University Delhi-NCR, Sonepat, Haryana, continued the Aarambika 2026 – Freshers’ Induction Programme with Day 2 on 19 August 2026.
The day was organized to provide students with a combination of career-oriented guidance, industry exposure, innovation awareness, professional development, and experiential learning. The sessions were conducted in the Sri Sarveswarar Auditorium, followed by an interactive activity and completion of pending academic documentation.
Corporate Professional Talk: “The Bridge Strategy: Mapping Academics to Career Goals”
The first session of the day was “The Bridge Strategy: Mapping Academics to Career Goals”, delivered by Mr. Bhupender Aujla, Senior Manager, Strategic Alliances, IDP Education Pvt. Ltd. The session focused on helping students understand the connection between their academic journey and their long-term career aspirations. It encouraged students to view their university years as an important phase for building knowledge, skills, experiences, and competencies aligned with their professional goals. The session provided students with a career-oriented perspective at an early stage of their academic journey and encouraged them to think strategically about their future.
Corporate Professional Talk: “Industry Requirements & Emerging Technology Trends”
The second session, “Industry Requirements & Emerging Technology Trends”, was delivered by Mr. Aman Bakshi, Growth Initiative Leader, IBM Professionals. The session introduced students to changing industry expectations and emerging trends in technology. It helped students understand the importance of staying updated with technological developments and continuously developing skills that are relevant to the evolving professional landscape. The interaction provided freshers with an industry perspective on the competencies and technological awareness that can support their future careers.
Informative Session: “Think Tech – Inspiring Ideas from Innovation and Technology”
The programme continued with “Think Tech: Inspiring Ideas From Innovation and Technology”, conducted by the ThinkTech Society under the guidance of its Faculty Advisor, Dr. Tulika Kakkar. The session introduced students to the role of innovation and technology in generating new ideas and solving real-world challenges. It encouraged students to develop curiosity, creativity, and an interest in exploring technology beyond conventional classroom learning. The session provided an opportunity for students to become familiar with innovation-oriented activities and the possibilities available through technology-driven initiatives.
As a refreshing musical interlude between the sessions, the programme featured a melodious singing performance by our talented student, adding a lively and enjoyable touch to the Freshers’ Induction Programme.
Workshop: “Mastering Professional Image and Etiquettes”
The final session of the first half was a workshop on “Mastering Professional Image and Etiquettes”, conducted by Ms. Gagan Ghuman, Head, Strategic Alliances, IDP Education. The workshop focused on the importance of professional conduct and personal presentation in academic and professional environments. Students were introduced to the significance ofprofessional etiquette and the way individuals present themselves and interact with others. The session helped students recognize that professional development involves not only technical knowledge but also communication, conduct, confidence, and appropriate professional behaviour.
Interactive Activity: “The 60-Second Commercial Pitch”
Following the lunch break, students participated in “The 60-Second Commercial Pitch”, an interactive Fun & Team Building Activity conducted in the classrooms. The activity provided students with an opportunity to demonstrate creative agility and speed while working within a limited time. Students were encouraged to think creatively, communicate ideas effectively, and work collaboratively with their teams. The activity added an experiential dimension to the induction programme and provided students with an informal platform to interact with their peers while developing communication and teamwork skills.
Completion of Academic Documentation
The final segment of the day was dedicated to the completion of pending academic documentation. Students were guided to the relevant offices, including the Admission Office, Account Office, Transport Office, and other designated offices, for the submission of pending documents and completion of necessary formalities. This session helped students complete essential administrative requirements and ensured that their academic and institutional documentation was brought up to date.

Day 2 of Aarambika 2026 successfully provided students with:
