IET Guest Lecture "Human – Robot Interactions for Enhanced Perception and Social Wellbeing"

SRM University, Delhi-NCR, Sonepat, in association with The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), UK organized a technical talk on “Human – Robot Interactions for Enhanced Perception and Social Wellbeing” today at the university auditorium. Dr. Vineet Bajaj, Associate Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, welcomed and introduced the speaker. Prof. David Jenkins, faculty, University of Plymouth, United Kingdom, who was the guest speaker, in his exciting and exhilarating talk, articulated that the Brain Computer Interface (BCI), which has been taking roots in technology and human science, is activating memory and other functions of humans, mostly used among the autistic, dyslexia and dementia affected children. While answering a question on whether robots replace humans, Prof. Jenkins was at his best in explaining that the robots may do many of the works of the humans, but still, human interactions are immensely needed for developing a composite world. Dr. P. Prakash, Vice Chancellor, SRM University, eulogised the efforts of the IET, appreciated, felicitated and thanked the guest for making the lecture into a great success. Prof. Samuel Raj, Dean Academic Affairs; Mr. Senthil Kumar, Director, Administration & Admission; Mr. Manoj Madhavan Kutty, Deputy Director, Admission; Deans, HODs, and Faculty members attended the lecture.
